Let Me Tell You About . . .

The Rainberry Bay Bicycle Club
 by Monique Goudreau, co-chair

The Bicycle Club is being revitalized!!  Come join us for all levels of biking, exercise, and fun.

For example, we can do slow bike outings around our lake.  Or, bike on our sidewalks and quiet roadways to discover new areas in our community.  We can be bicycle tourists to other close-by interesting places outside of our community, including other communities.  We can explore established bike trails around & into Delray Beach.  Or, bike to a close-by wild life sanctuary to especially see close-up views of beautiful, cranes, storks, herons, nesting with their chicks, etc.

For the more advanced, you can distance ride with us on the beautiful coastal A1A Hwy.  For all levels, we can sometimes bike downtown for breakfast or coffee and a bit of socializing  :-).  To be back by popular demand!  “How to change your tire demo/workshop ” by our very own David Kulick!!

There also is a very interesting, but very different sidebar cohabiting with the Bicycle Club.  It is the “Travel Wing”.  In that light, the Bicycle Club seasonally plans about three, 2-day or 3-day all-inclusive bus trips to relatively close-by places like St Augustine, Naples, Ft Myers, St Petersburg, etc., to see plays / visit casinos / shopping / and some nice dining.  Lots of entertainment and fun!
The Bike Club meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month from October until March.  Biking activities/outings will be discussed and planned from 9:00-10:00 AM at the Clubhouse Auditorium.   The “Biking Co-Chair” is Monique Goudreau:  lakesideottawa@xplornet.com  (or 561-265-5924 snowbird - only from Mid Nov until end April.

Fees are $7.00 per calendar year.  As part of our “welcome” to new community residents,   annual fees will be waived for the first year.

We solicit your ideas!  Come to the meeting on Dec. 8, 2018 at 9:00 AM to help develop an exciting program for the new season.  Anyone interested in leading any of the biking group levels?
