Rainberry Bay Communication Opportunities

The Beacon is now being published ten times a year by Karen Wells and her Board, beginning with the October 2018 issue. The new Board is: Char Lane, Treasurer; Deb Peters, Photographer; Lois Wiesler and Donna Gouin, Proofreaders; and Ron Lemoine, Distribution. Please continue to contribute information and articles so that we can keep up the high standards of this great newsletter and if you use our advertisers, let them know, "You saw it in the Beacon."

Contributors are the Clubs, the Committees, resident writers and poets, as well as Phyllis Gordon with her biographical insights into our neighbors and Lois Wiesler with her helpful Tips and Hints. You can still pick it up at the "newstands" at the Clubhouse, the Theater and the Management Office. Or, you can read it in full-color right here on the website.

We depend on the community to be the eyes and ears for your neighborhood. If you know of births, deaths, illnesses, celebrations, etc. that the community should hear about, contact Karen at the Beacon email address: RainberryBayBeacon@gmail.com.
The Beacon is usually available after the 25th of the month. Deadline for articles or advertising is the 12th of the month. Please be prompt with your articles, which should be no more than 300 words. Your thank you notes should be about 50 words in length.

If you have pictures of an event, they should be of publishable quality and sent to the email address above with an explanation of who, what and where they are. Just like all our media outlets, you help to keep them interesting and vital.

You must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer to access this and any other documents on this website.

Adobe Reader can be downloaded free here . . .

To access any present or future issue of the Beacon, please click on the month of choice, so long as it appears in blue and has an open blue book. A file will appear in another window and you will be able to print a copy or read it online. You may access these Beacons at any time.

Heading 2

This website is our main way to reach the majority of our residents and potential residents world-wide. We update it all the time to reflect the events and activities that go on in this community, as well as in the city of Delray Beach. You can look at it by pressing any of the orange buttons above. It has a lot of information and links to help you learn more about Rainberry Bay and its environs.

The FSR VILLAS / FSR HOMES portions of the website are password protected and accessible by RESIDENTS ONLY. It contains  a lot of information:

  • "Forms and Documents" for the community,
  • Videos and minutes of the Board meetings
  • A place to submit and track work orders
  • Latest financials on each of the Associations
  • A way to communicate directly with the Manager
  • A Resident Directory.

Every owner has access to their association, as well as the Master Association documents. With the directory, the resident must input the data, such as your email address, your cell phone number and the people in your household. Many people have not filled out this portion so it remains incomplete.

If you have missed a board meeting, or would like to see a video, there are videos and minutes posted under "Forms and Documents" of the Master Association. The individual association financials are published under the MY COMMUNITY section. Owner's account information can be found under the MY ACCOUNT tab.

The websites are a joint creation with the Management Company and our resident webmaster, Karen Wells.
All community events are advertised on our own closed-circuit TV station (Comcast Channel 93)

It is managed, and the information is input, by Lois Wiesler. There are specific guidelines for how information is received and transmitted. All upcoming Board Meetings, Club Meetings and Events, Committee Events and important information is published there. It is up to the clubs and committees to send this information to RIC. Only local residents can tune into our CCTV93 station but the same information can also be found on this  MyRainberryBay.com website.
WEB RIC can be accessed under the COMMUNICATION tab on the main menu. The same guidelines apply to the information on the website except we can add graphics and publish for a longer period of time. Clubs and committees are responsible for all the information. If something is cancelled, both CCTV and web will reflect this. There are less restrictions to the number of lines available to publicize your event. Snowbirds can access the upcoming events from the comfort of their Northern homes and plan accordingly. Again, it is up to you to keep this information timely.
You can edit text on your website by double clicking on a text box on your website. Alternatively, when you select a text box a settings menu will appear. Selecting 'Edit Text' from this menu will also allow you to edit the text within this text box. Remember to keep your wording friendly, approachable and easy to understand as if you were talking to your customer
